With over 42 years of manufacturing experience in partnership with the Willibald company based in Germany, LIPA manufactures flail mowers and mulchers at their factory in Italy. All LIPA products are well designed, and manufactured using the latest CAD/CAM technologies, which include laser cutting and robot welders. All LIPA products use high quality materials which stand the test of time, in fact some customers have extensively used LIPA flail mowers and mulchers for over 25 years, only replacing flails/hammers and belts occasionally. LIPA has now manufactured over 25,000 flail mowers and mulchers worldwide, their quality and performance are hard to beat and they are priced less than many competitors.
Our company is Needham Ag Technologies, LLC and we have been in business since 2006. Our company is based in Western Kentucky and we strive to offer the best product knowledge in the industry. We first purchased a Lipa flail mower for our own use in 2018, and became the US distributor in 2019. We offer a range of different LIPA flail mowers and mulchers, in addition to most parts at our warehouse.
The Lipa TLS range of heavy duty tractor mounted flail mowers (with side shift) are designed for use in orchards, vineyards or tree farms. This mower is designed to mow and mulch materials up to around 3 inches in diameter, leaving the fine material evenly distributed across the soil surface.

PLEASE NOTE THE TLS MOWERS DO NOT COME STANDARD WITH THE VERTICAL MULCHING TEETH SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS ATTACHED. THEY ARE AN OPTION TO MULCH FINER, BUT THEY TAKE MORE POWER.
These flail mowers feature high quality construction, with heavy duty safety chains and rubber flap at the front to help control flying debris. There is also a door at the back (see images) which opens when cutting tall/dense material. The range of TLS mowers feature 16” of hydraulically adjustable side-shift (8″ either way) with the parallel linkage arrangement. This TLS mower also features heavy duty bearings at both ends of the rotor, in addition to both ends of the heavy duty steel roller at the rear of the flail mower. The steel roller is height adjustable and sets the working height of the mower above the ground, to help it follow the ground contours. The steel roller also features a scraper to help eliminate grass/mud accumulation when mowing in damp conditions. Finally the TLS series come standard with skids at both ends to help stop the mower digging into rolling ground.
The Lipa TLS 180 flail mower weighs 1325 lb. and ideally requires 50-60 hp (the higher end of this range for taller/thicker material or higher forward speeds). The TLS-180 has a 72″ cut width and features 12 heavy duty flails around the rotor, which is driven by 4 drive belts (see photos) . This flail mower comes complete with a standard 3pt hook ups and a heavy duty PTO shaft (with heavy duty shield). The TLS mowers also come complete with both lower and upper pins, in addition to the hydraulic hoses (with covers) for the side shift function.

Always think safety when operating a flail mower! The TLS flail mowers should ideally be used on tractors with fully enclosed cabs with a rear window, to help protect the operator from flying debris. Keep all spectators at least 150 feet away and always lower the flail mower down onto the ground and shut the engine off before working on, or making adjustments to the flail mower.
