With over 43 years of manufacturing experience in partnership with the Willibald company based in Germany, LIPA manufactures flail mowers and mulchers at their factory in Italy. All LIPA products are well designed, and manufactured using the latest CAD/CAM technologies, which include laser cutting and robot welders. All LIPA products use high quality materials which stand the test of time, in fact some customers have extensively used LIPA flail mowers and mulchers for over 25 years, only replacing flails/hammers and belts occasionally. The extend undercarriage is important for safety and stability, especially when mowing to the side, fully extended).
The Lipa TLBE-D 60 flail mower is designed to fit smaller mini excavators (ideally those heavier than around 3500 lb). The TLBE-D 60 has a 25″ working width and is designed to mow and mulch grass, brush and small trees, up to around 1″ in diameter (cutting larger diameter material is possible, especially with slow and careful operation, or when mulching soft wood). The TLBE-D 60 has 7 sets of tri-knives and weighs around 370 lb (with a typical mount) and requires at least 8 gallons of auxiliary flow per minute, therefore its suitable for mini excavators such as the Bobcat E20, Cat 301.7, Kubota U17 and Deere 17G/17P.
The TLBE-D 60 flail mowers feature high quality construction and materials, with 2 rows of safety chains and a rubber flap across the front, and a rubber flap across the back to help control flying debris. The steel roller at the back is adjustable with 3 positions (to set the mowing height above the ground), and together with skid plates on both sides, it helps avoid flails digging into the soil (to extend flail life). This flail mower comes complete with a dedicated hook-up for most brands of mini excavator, but we prefer to discuss by phone or email ahead of purchase. IMPORTANT – Some excavators will require a custom-made bracket, these include Wain-Roy quick couplers and the Bobcat X-Change Couplers, and these will incur additional charges. As stated previously, please contact us ahead of purchasing, to allow us to help you configure and price the most suitable mower for your needs.
Please note this flail mower does not come with hydraulic hoses, as we don’t know the fittings or lengths required to fit your machine. Also, this mower does not come with pins to mount the flail mower to your excavator, you should already have pins to mount your bucket, but we have them available for purchase if necessary.

Always think safety when operating a flail mower! Ideally operate a mower on a mini excavator with a cab, or add a piece of impact resistant plexiglass or expanded metal on open station machines, to protect the operator from flying debris. Always keep spectators at a safe distance and always shut the engine down before working on, or making adjustments to the mower.
