With over 40 years of flail mower and mulcher manufacturing experience in partnership with the Willibald company based in Germany, LIPA now manufactures high quality mowers and mulchers in their factory in Italy. LIPA products are well designed and manufactured, using the latest technologies which include laser cutting and robot welders. All LIPA products use high quality materials which stand the test of time, in fact some customers have used the same LIPA mowers for over 20 years, only replacing flail hammers and belts occasionally.
The Lipa TLS range of tractor mounted flail mowers (with side shift) are designed to between trees in orchards, vineyards or tree farms. The total side shift range is 16″ which makes it easy to mow close to trees and fences. The TLS range is suitable for tractors from 30-70 hp and this model is designed to mow and shred grass, brush and small trees up to around 1” in diameter. These flail mowers feature high quality construction, with safety chains to help control flying debris. The range of TLS mowers also feature heavy duty bearings at both ends of the rotor, in addition to both ends of the heavy duty steel roller, at the rear of the flail mower. The steel roller is height adjustable and sets the working height of the mower above the ground, to help it follow the ground contours.
The Lipa TLS 180 flail mower is one of the largest within the range and weighs 1325 lb. It has a 72″ cut width, so it’s suitable for 45-50 hp tractors. The TLS-180 features 12 heavy duty flails around the rotor. The rotor is driven with 4 drive belts. This flail mower comes complete with a standard 3pt hook ups and a PTO shaft (with heavy duty shield). The TLS mowers also come complete with both lower and middle tractor hook-up pins, in addition to the hydraulic hoses for the side shift.
If it says “out of stock” please contact us to see when more will be available, as we plan to have most of the common models in stock, so they may be shipped and available soon.
Always think safety when operating a flail mower! The TLS flail mowers should ideally be used on tractors with fully enclosed cabs with a rear window, to help protect the operator from flying debris. Keep all spectators at least 150 feet away and always lower the flail mower down onto the ground and shut the engine off before working on, or making adjustments to the flail mower.
See the YouTube video below of the TLS with side-shift in action (Please note this is a different side-shift mechanism to what we are offering).
