The Needham Ag NA-18A discs offer similar hardness to the John Deere OEM disc blades, but their higher quality materials provide around 24% greater wear resistance (see bar charts within the attached images). This translates into around a 5-10% greater life within the field (compared to the factory John Deere disc blades).
The Needham Ag NA18-A discs measure 18 1/4” in diameter, 1/4″ larger than the John Deere 18″ discs. This increases the life slightly, without significantly influencing installation.
The Needham Ag NA-18A have a consistently sharp edge, sharper than the John Deere OEM disc blades, and their harder material helps them maintain their sharp edge longer (sharp edges are VERY important, especially when trying to cut heavy/tough residue in no-till fields).
The Needham Ag NA-18A discs are best suited for producers looking for a longer lasting disc than John Deere offers, but at a lower price point.
