PLEASE CONTACT US FIRST, BEFORE BUYING THE MOWER. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO HELP YOU BEST CONFIGURE THE MOWER ACCORDING TO YOUR REQUIREMENTS, IN ADDITION TO CONFIRMING AVAILABILITY OF THE REQUIRED MOUNTING BRACKETS (SOME MOUNTING BRACKETS ARE NOT AVAILABLE).
With over 40 years of manufacturing experience in partnership with the Willibald company based in Germany, LIPA now manufactures high quality flail mowers and mulchers in their factory in Italy. LIPA products are well designed and manufactured using the latest CAD/CAM technologies, which include laser cutting and robot welders. All LIPA products use high quality materials which stand the test of time, in fact some customers have extensively used LIPA flail mowers and mulchers for over 20 years, only replacing flails/hammers and belts occasionally. The LIPA company has now manufactured over 20,000 flail mowers and mulchers worldwide, and their performance is hard to beat.
Our company is Needham Ag Technologies, LLC and we have been in business since 2006. Our company is based in Western Kentucky and we strive to offer the best product knowledge in the industry. We first purchased a Lipa flail mower for our own use in 2018, and became the US distributor in 2019. We offer a range of different LIPA flail mowers and mulchers, in addition to most parts at our warehouse.
The LIPA TLBE-S 120 is designed for larger mini excavators (around 14,000-20,000 lb in size), to mow grass, shrubs, brush and small trees, up to around 4″ in diameter with adequate auxiliary flow (larger soft wood trees can mulched, especially if you lower the flail mower very slowly). The TLBE-S mowers are often used around fences, ditch banks, lakes and highways, in areas which are often too difficult, or too unsafe to mow with zero-turn mowers, or rotary mowers on tractors. The TLBE-S flail mowers feature high quality construction and materials, with safety chains and rubber flaps to help control flying debris. The range of TLBE-S flail mowers come standard with a heavy duty 5.5″ diameter rotor tube, with heavy duty bearings and strong seals at both ends. Each TLBE-S flail mower comes with heavy duty toothed hammer/flails, which are made from very wear resistant materials. The steel roller at the back is adjustable (to set the mowing height above the ground), plus it helps the mower follow the ground contours and avoid it digging into the soil.
The LIPA TLBE-S 120 flail mower weighs 770 lb and has a 48″ cut width. This mower requires ideally 25-27 gallons per minute of auxiliary flow. The TLBE-S 120 has 8 heavy duty toothed hammer/flails and the rotor is driven by 3 heavy duty belts with a heavy duty Casappa hydraulic motor.
This flail mower comes complete with a dedicated hook-up for most brands of mini excavator, but we prefer to discuss by phone or email ahead of purchase. IMPORTANT – Some excavators will require a custom-made bracket, these include Wain-Roy quick couplers and the Bobcat X-Change Couplers, and these will incur additional charges. As stated previously, please contact us ahead of purchasing, to allow us to help you configure and price the most suitable mower for your needs.
Please note this flail mower does not come with hydraulic hoses, as we don’t know the fittings or lengths required to fit your machine. Also, this mower does not come with pins to mount the flail mower to your excavator, you should already have pins to mount your bucket, so you can use the same pins.
If it says “out of stock” please contact us to see when more will be available. We plan to have most of the common models in stock all the time, so they may be shipped and available soon.
Always think safety when operating a flail mower! Be sure to use the mower on a mini excavator with a cab, or add a front window or screen that sufficiently protects you from flying debris. Always keep spectators at a safe distance and always shut the engine down before working on, or making adjustments to the mower.
