Needham Ag Stainless Steel Seed Brakes are designed to vent most of the air out of the perforated housing, and slow the seed velocity to minimize seeds or fertilizer being blown out of the row. This is especially important when growers are seeding higher rates of seed, or when banding fertilizer with strip till equipment, as these require high fan speeds to convey the additional material.
The Needham Ag Seed Brakes are made from durable stainless steel and feature 2 mm diameter holes which are designed to retain most seed and fertilizer types, all the way down to canola or rape. These Seed Brakes also feature an angled baffle, which helps reduce seed velocity and minimize seed bunching. The Needham Ag Seed Brakes are designed to fit on air-seeders and strip till rigs which use a 2.0″ OD hose.
