With over 40 years of manufacturing experience in partnership with the Willibald company based in Germany, LIPA now manufactures high quality flail mowers and mulchers in their factory in Italy. LIPA products are well designed and manufactured using the latest CAD/CAM technologies, which include laser cutting and robot welders. All LIPA products use high quality materials which stand the test of time, in fact some customers have extensively used LIPA flail mowers and mulchers for over 20 years, only replacing flails/hammers and belts occasionally. The LIPA company has now manufactured over 20,000 flail mowers and mulchers worldwide, and their performance is hard to beat.
Our company is Needham Ag Technologies, LLC and we have been in business since 2006. Our company is based in Western Kentucky and we strive to offer the best product knowledge in the industry. We first purchased a Lipa flail mower for our own use in 2018, and became the US distributor in 2019. We offer a range of different LIPA flail mowers and mulchers, in addition to most parts at our warehouse.
The range of Lipa TLB-F flail mowers are designed to fit medium sized skid steer loaders and they are designed to mow and shred grass, brush and trees up to around 2” in diameter (assuming adequate flow and pressure) within fencerows, driveways and yards. These flail mowers feature high quality construction, with safety chains and flaps to help control flying debris. The TLB-F range of mowers also feature heavy duty bearings at both ends of the rotor, in addition to both ends of the heavy duty steel roller at the rear of the flail mower. The steel roller is height adjustable and sets the working height of the mower above the ground, to help it follow the ground contours.
The Lipa TLB-F 160 flail mower weighs 750 lb and has a 64″ cut width, so it’s suitable for 6000-8000 lb skid steer loaders with at least 18 GPM of auxiliary flow, ideally 20-24 GPM for maximum performance (if you have less than 18 GPM, you can select the smaller TLB-F 140). NOTE: If you have a skid steer 24+ GPM of auxiliary flow, we suggest the TLF-200 we have listed within this online store.
The TLB-F 160 features 16 heavy duty flails and 3 drive belts from the hydraulic motor down to the flail mower drive pulley.
This flail mower comes complete with a standard skid steer hook-up. Please note this flail mower does not come with hydraulic hoses, as we don’t know the fittings or lengths required to fit your machine, but we can provide them for an additional charge.

Always think safety when operating a flail mower! The TLB-F flail mowers should ideally be used on skid steer loaders with a front windshield to protect the operator from flying debris. Keep all spectators at least 150 feet away and always lower the flail mower down onto the ground and shut the engine off before working on, or making adjustments to the flail mower.
