With over 40 years of flail mower and mulcher manufacturing experience in partnership with the Willibald company based in Germany, LIPA now manufactures high quality mowers and mulchers in their factory in Italy. LIPA products are well designed and manufactured, using the latest technologies which include laser cutting and robot welders. All LIPA products use high quality materials which stand the test of time, in fact some customers have used the same LIPA mowers for over 20 years, only replacing flail hammers and belts occasionally.
The range of LIPA TLE-FL forestry shredders are designed to fit excavators which weigh between 12 and 20 tons.
This TLE-FL 130 model is designed to shred brush and trees up to around 10″ in diameter, within areas which are often dangerous or difficult with other types of mower. The TLE-FL range of shredders feature heavy duty bearings at both ends of the rotor.
The Lipa TLE-FL 130 shredder weighs 1695 lb, has a 51″ cut width and requires 32-38 gallons of oil flow per minute (at ideally around 3500-4000 psi). The TLE-FL 130 has 30 fixed hammers and 5 heavy duty drive belts from the hydraulic piston motor down to the flail mower drive pulley. The high torque shredder turns around 2000 rpm to shred brush and trees up to around 6-10″ in diameter (soft woods 10″ or more, hard woods 6″ or more). The diameter of the rotor housing is 13.5″ and the inside of the shredder housing has a highly wear resistant steel (hardox) counter frame to maximize life.
This TLE-FL 130 will require 3 hydraulic lines for the shredder rotor drive motor (a pressure line, a return line and a low-pressure return, also know as a case drain). The front door is operated by a electronic cab control box (see attached image) which uses a solenoid to take 2 gallons per minute of oil flow from the rotor circuit to operate the door (12V power comes from a lighter socket).
This shredder comes complete with a dedicated hook-up to connect to your excavator, but we prefer to discuss by phone or email ahead of purchase to make sure your excavator model hook-up is available. For example, some less common excavator models may require a custom-made bracket. Also, this shredder does not come with pins to mount to the excavator (you should already have pins to mount buckets on with, so you can use the same pins).
If it says “out of stock” please contact us to see when more will be available, as we plan to have most of the common models in stock, so they may be shipped and available soon.
Always think safety when operating a shredder! Be sure to use the shredder on an excavator with an approved forestry package to protect the operator from flying debris. Always keep spectators at a safe distance and always shut the engine down before working on, or making adjustments to the shredder.
