With over 45 years of manufacturing experience in partnership with the Willibald company based in Germany, LIPA manufactures high quality flail mowers and forestry mulchers in their factory in Italy. LIPA products are well designed and manufactured using the latest CAD/CAM technologies, which include laser cutting, robot welders and state of the art electronic balancers. All LIPA products use high quality materials which stand the test of time, in fact some customers have extensively used LIPA flail mowers and forestry mulchers for over 25 years, only replacing flails/hammers and belts occasionally (and many are used commercially). The LIPA company has now manufactured over 28,000 flail mowers and forestry mulchers worldwide; their quality and performance are hard to beat.
Our company is Needham Ag Technologies, LLC and we have been in business since 2006. Our company is based in Western Kentucky and we strive to offer the best product knowledge in the industry. We first purchased a Lipa flail mower for our own use in 2018, and became the US distributor in 2019. We offer a range of different LIPA flail mowers and forestry mulchers, in addition to most parts at our warehouse.
The Lipa TLE-FM 100 Forestry Mulcher is designed for a mini excavator larger than around 15,000 lb and one which has at least 25 GPM of Auxiliary flow. The benefit of the swinging hammers (compared to fixed hammers) on this mulcher is the versatility of materials it will process. For example, this model will mulch hard wood trees up to at least 6″ and soft wood up to at least 8″, but it is also very good in brush and grass/brush/briars. Fixed tooth mulchers by comparison are better mulching trees, but they struggle in tall and dense grass, especially when its wet. This model will process all these materials with ease with enough hydraulic flow and pressure. This mulcher is also better in rocks compared to fixed tooth mulchers (as the hammers deflect back when they hit rocks).

The internal body is built from Hardox material for long life.
The front door is hinged to allow you to mulch the top off trees, then lower the front door to control flying debris. A manual adjust front door is standard, but a hydraulic cylinder is available as an option (the excavator will require two pairs of hydraulic remotes for the hydraulic front door).
