The range of LIPA TLE-FM forestry shredders are designed to fit excavators that weigh between 8 and 10 tons.
This TLE-FM 100 model is designed to shred brush and trees up to around 6″ in diameter in areas which are often dangerous or difficult with other types of mower. The TLE-FM range of shredders feature heavy duty bearings at both ends of the rotor, in addition to an adjustable deflector at the front of the shredder.
The Lipa TLE-FM 100 shredder weighs 1380 lb. Its has a 41″ cut width and requires 22-25 gallons of flow per minute at 3200-3600 psi. The TLE-FM has 18 flails and 3 heavy duty drive belts from the hydraulic motor down to the flail mower drive pulley. The high torque shredder turns around 370 rpm, to shred brush and trees up to around 6″ in diameter. The inside of the shredder housing is made from a heavy grade steel (hardox) to maximize life.
This TLE-FM 100 will require 3 hydraulic lines for the shredder rotor drive motor (a pressure line, a return line and a low-pressure return, also know as a case drain). To best operate the adjustable front shield, a 2nd remote is also necessary, but if this is not available an electric solenoid valve block is available from LIPA – to allow the raising and lowering of the front shield with a switch in the cab (it takes its oil flow from the shredder).
This shredder comes complete with a dedicated hook-up to connect to your excavator, but we prefer to discuss by phone or email ahead of purchase to make sure your excavator model hook-up is available. For example some less common excavator models may require a custom made bracket, especially those with certain quick-hitch style couplers. Please note this shredder does not come with hydraulic hoses, as we don’t know the fittings or lengths required to fit your machine. Also, this shredder does not come with pins to mount to the excavator (you should already have pins to mount buckets on with, so you can use the same pins).
If it says “out of stock” please contact us to see when more will be available, as we plan to have most of the common models in stock, so they may be shipped and available soon.
Always think safety when operating a shredder! Be sure to use the shredder on an excavator with a full cab to protect the operator from flying debris. Always keep spectators at a safe distance and always shut the engine down before working on, or making adjustments to the shredder.
